Chesterfield Marketplace Mug

Featuring Chesterfields market ,  trading for over 800 years it is one of the oldest markets in the country.  Chesterfield’s famous open air market which began with the granting of a Charter by King John in 1204, celebrated the 800th anniversary of its official foundation in 2004.

Lisa Swift is a local artist from just north of Chesterfield.  A couple of years ago she was introduced to drawing digitally on an iPad.  Although she continues to love pencil drawing and painting, drawing digitally has also become one of her favourite mediums. Derbyshire with the Peak District are on her doorstep and a wonderful source of inspiration.  She loves drawing landscapes, buildings and wildlife. Lisa hopes to build her collection of landscapes and beautiful buildings whilst visiting places such as Yorkshire, Kent and her favourite location in the UK, Devon.
