Description
Featuring the Shambles, this is a historic part of Chesterfield dating back to the twelfth century. The narrow streets that are just off the market place date back to the middle ages. The Royal Oak public house has been there since 1772 and is chesterfields oldest pub that was once thought to have been a rest house of the Knights Templar.

Lisa Swift is a local artist from just north of Chesterfield. A couple of years ago she was introduced to drawing digitally on an iPad. Although she continues to love pencil drawing and painting, drawing digitally has also become one of her favourite mediums. Derbyshire with the Peak District are on her doorstep and a wonderful source of inspiration. She loves drawing landscapes, buildings and wildlife. Lisa hopes to build her collection of landscapes and beautiful buildings whilst visiting places such as Yorkshire, Kent and her favourite location in the UK, Devon.
