Cromford Mills Fridge Magnet

Known for being the world’s first successful water powered cotton spinning mill built in 1771.  Now declared one of the country’s 100 irreplaceable sites,  after restoration it is now a multi-use visitor centre with shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes.  Nestled in the picturesque Derwent Valley there are also beautiful canal and riverside walks.

Lisa Swift is a local artist from just north of Chesterfield.  A couple of years ago she was introduced to drawing digitally on an iPad.  Although she continues to love pencil drawing and painting, drawing digitally has also become one of her favourite mediums. Derbyshire with the Peak District are on her doorstep and a wonderful source of inspiration.  She loves drawing landscapes, buildings and wildlife. Lisa hopes to build her collection of landscapes and beautiful buildings whilst visiting places such as Yorkshire, Kent and her favourite location in the UK, Devon.
