Description
Featuring the Lyceum theatre which opened in 1897, it closed in 1968 reopening in 1990. The Lyceum Theatre is the main venue for touring productions in the Sheffield Theatres complex, and is adjacent to the crucible theatre.
Also featured is the Crucible theatre, built in 1971 and named because of the melting pot of ideas it was aimed to become and its bond with Sheffield’s history to British Steel. Famous for the world snooker championship where it has remained since 1977.
