Meet the Maker – Aroment
Aaron is the man behind many of the wonderful smells our customers are treated to when they visit! His reed diffusers and scoop and melt tins are another firm customer favourite – the scents are divine and what’s more, they really are incredibly long-lasting. New fragrances are added to the range all the time, and we’re always excited when he gets in touch with something new.
We know our customers love to find out more about the makers behind the products we stock, and Aaron was kind enough to tell us a little more about himself, his business, and what goes on behind the scenes. Here’s what he had to say…
Tell us a little about yourself (where you are from/live, family, pets etc.)….
I’m Aaron. Ive spent all my life near Alfreton up until this last year, when I moved to Mansfield.
What is it that you make?
I make highly fragranced, long lasting home aromas.
How long have you been a maker?
I started off around 3.5 years ago now, and I absolutely love what I do, apart from all the regulations and paperwork.
What inspired you to start your business?
I suffer with both Crohn’s disease and mental health issues. AROMENT began as a hobby, I was shocked at how strong, as well as how long the products lasted, compared to anything I had bought beforehand. I then decided to launch AROMENT
What is your favourite product?
I have two really. I love the Rhubarb, Peach & Plum fragrance, its just so fruity and vibrant. But I also love the RELAXING fragrance. Mainly because this was the first blend I ever created and it also genuinely helped me relax and sleep.
What is your favourite thing to watch or listen to whilst making?
I quite enjoy listening to Virgin radio, as there’s quite a good variation. As my music taste is quite varied, from Queen, George Michael & Lady Gaga. I do enjoy 80’s music, even though I wasn’t born haha!
What exciting new products or plans are on the horizon?
So this past year as been a case of focusing on changing recipes, due to a big regulation update, so I hope to be able to relaunch most of the old scents as soon as possible. Ive also just launched some brand new diffuser tins, and have a few new fragrances on the horizon too.
Is there anything else you think that our readers would find interesting about yourself, your business or your products?
Our Scoop & Melt tins are double the concentrate to many other wax melts on the market. Which not only means a tin last a hell of a lot longer compared to most others, but you can scoop out as much or as little as you need. I like to call it a scent volume control.
